Graduates

Open to all NU graduate students, the Institute's numerous and varied events- public lectures, conferences, workshops and workshop series-address significant issues in the humanities and can help graduate students gain a better understanding of the major developments in their own and other fields.

The Humanities Seminar, based on a quarterly theme and geared towards meetings with prominent outside speakers, is open to both graduate students and advanced undergrads.

Advanced doctoral students from across NU are invited to become Institute Graduate Affiliates, who form part of the Institute community and actively participate in Institute annual or quarterly events. They are also invited to apply to participate in the an annual Dissertation Forum, an event at which advanced doctoral students give brief overviews of their research to an interdisciplinary audience of their peers and faculty, thereby gaining valuable experience and feedback.

Graduate students should also note that we post information such as other institutions' doctoral grants, postdoctoral fellowships, and faculty searches here at the Institute.
