Organizational meeting

We invite faculty and graduate students to attend this organizational meeting so that we can plan the year's activities--including selection of discussion texts and of visitors to Northwestern--in accord with shared interests. We envision two meetings in the fall quarter (the second one is already scheduled; it will be held on Tuesday Nov. 17, 2009 at 5 p.m. in the same space), and perhaps one in winter and two in spring. In the spring quarter, we wish to devote one meeting to historical poetics, with a visiting scholar, and one to a visit by, and discussion with, a contemporary poet with an interest in poetics. Sam Weber has said that he would like to present work from his project on Friedrich Hölderlin at our winter-quarter meeting.
