Evanston Northwestern Humanities Lecture Series
The Alice Kaplan Institute for the Humanities has teamed up with the Evanston Public Library to co-sponsor an ongoing lecture series that allows for members of the Northwestern University humanities faculty to share their research with members of the Evanston community.
Chicago Humanities Festival
The Alice Kaplan Institute for the Humanities collaborates with the Chicago Humanities Festival to assist with the presentation of their annual fall festival and additional events throughout the year. In fall 2011, The Morry and Dolores Kohl Kaplan Evanston Day was inaugrated, bringing CHF events to the Evanston Campus.
Illinois Humanities Council
The Alice Kaplan Institute provides a stipend to WCAS faculty who volunteer to teach in the Odyssey Project, an eight-month college-level course in the humanities for low-income adults sponsored by the Illinois Humanities Council. The Odyssey Project is part of the nation-wide Clemente Project.
