Curricular Development Grants
Application Deadline: February 26, 2016
The Kaplan Institute announces its inaugural Kaplan Curricular Development Grants!
Kaplan Curricular Development Grants are designed to support innovation and exploration in humanities classrooms across Northwestern. The awards are intended for, but not limited to, the development of new course materials or new courses; the implementation of digital tools in the classroom; the execution of on- and/or off-site field research as part of an undergraduate humanities class; and other curricular developments that go beyond the standard scope of a typical course. Awards will be given to proposals that demonstrate how a course will innovate the existing humanities curriculum.
- All Northwestern faculty (lecturers and tenure-line) are encouraged to apply.
- Applicants may request up to $10,000 in funding.
- All award recipient courses will be offered in the Humanities Institute, with the option of co-listing with a department or program.
- Applicants must obtain permission from their department chairs to apply.
